Q. Prints, books, and print quality
A. Impressed uses the highest quailty print and photo book printer on the market at the highest quality setting (you get professional quality 6 ink prints, not 4). That being said, when you print photos, they never look the same as they do on a screen. Screens make photos pop with vibrancy and colour and light (there is a light source behind them after all) compared to looking the same printed photo side-by-side. There are many other factors that cause prints to not look identical to their electronic counterparts (colour profiles, different media, etc.), and we do everything we can to try to match them, but they will inevitably be different.
Q. How do I ensure optimal print quality for my photos?
A. Impressed will try to help you when it can (i.e., it will warn you if detects over-zoomed photos or missing photos in a photo book). However, we cannot detect grainy photos, typos, and other photo anomalies (including ignoring the warning), therefore it is important to double and triple check your order before you place it. Impressed is not responsible for the quality of the source image and typos.
Q. Where are the books I created?
A. When you first launch the app, tap the Impressed logo to reveal the main options. Tap Projects to see all the books you’ve created and / or printed. If you are elsewhere in the app, swipe from the left edge to the right to bring up this menu.
Photo Books - Creating and Editing
Q. I just received a photo book. What do I do?
A. Congratulations! To view a digital copy and to hear any voice recorded with the photos, either:

Download the Impressed App onto your device, ensure you are connected to the Internet, and do the following:
- Once the app is open, tap the Impressed logo to display the icon.
- Tap the icon to bring up the scanner.
- With the book open to the title page, either scan the QR code or type the link into the link text box and tap Go.
- Your book will download into the Projects section of the app.
- Open a web browser on your desktop, smartphone, or tablet. Open the photo book to the title page. Then, simply type the link that is on the title page in your browser’s address bar and enjoy.
Q. What is the difference between the books?
A. We’ve custom designed books for your differing needs and you can see what books are optimized for your different photography. Photos on your iPhone, and Dropbox are the most flexible. Some of our other books are optimized for your Facebook and Instagram photos which are smaller.
Q. How do I add photos?
A. Simply tap on the photo you want to appear in the book and it will be added to the first empty slot on the page you are looking at. Note that the photo is marked so that you know which photos you have used already.
Q. How do I remove photos?
A. Simply tap on the photo in the book and then tap the Remove button below the book.
Q. How do I edit how a photo appears in the book?
A. Simply tap on the photo in the book, then tap the Edit button below the book to open the edit window. You can then pinch to zoom and tap to pan the photo until it looks perfect.
Q. How do I get the biggest view of the photos in my book?
A. Grab the bar that counts how many photos are in the book and drag it up or down to zoom in on the book. If that’s not enough, simply tap a photo in the book, tap Edit and you’ll see the photo in a pop up.
Q. How do I get photos from my PC / Mac to my iPhone?
A. Your options are:
- Sync your photos to your device as Apple suggests or via Photo Stream.
- Use Photo Stream, built into your iPhone and iPhoto (if you have a Mac).
- Get your photos from the networks that Impressed supports (such as Facebook, Dropbox, Instagram, etc.) by simply creating a new photo book in Impressed and selecting the source you want to use.
Q. Why am I not able to edit my photo book?
A. Once a photo book is printed or shared, you can no longer modify that particular book. If you want to modify it in any way (change or add voice recordings, photos, etc.), you must open the book, tap the Edit icon and create a copy. An exact, editable copy of your photo book will be added to your launch screen. You may then modify it, print and share it with a new set of recipients.
Q. How many photos can I add to a photo book?
A. That depends on the book you are building. When selecting the book, Impressed tells you the minimum number of photos in that book - you can often add more. As you go, Impressed will show you how many photos you’ve got left in the book.
Q. What is the icon on the bottom right hand side of my photos in the photo book?
A. The Play signifies that there is voice attached to that photo.
Q. How do I edit text?
A. Simply tap on the text you want to edit in the book, it will highlight the text and then tap the Edit button.
Q. Can I move pages?
A. Yes! If you want to move a set of pages (2 at a time), when you are editing a book, tap the button to enter Preview mode. Simply swipe from the left to right on the page you want to move and you will see the “Move” action. Tap it, and then you can tap the arrows to move the pages. Tap anywhere on the screen to exit “Move” mode.
Deco Prints - Creating and Editing
Q. Can I only add photos from my Instagram feed?
A. Yes! At this time we are trying to help you turn your Instagram photos into art, so for the time being, Deco Prints are Instagram-based.
Q. How do I add photos?
A. Simply tap on the photo you want to appear in the book and it will be added to the first empty photo slot. Note that the photo is marked so that you know which photos you have used already.
Ordering
Q. How do I print my photo book or Deco Prints?
A. Select your photo book or create your Deco Prints and tap the Shopping Cart icon.
Q. My order failed to upload. What do I do?
A. When you print a large order, there is a chance there could be an interruption in your Internet service. If this happens, a message will tell you that your photo book failed to upload. You can select ‘Retry’ to continue the upload.
Q. The order button is greyed out and I cannot print.
A. Photo books must have at least a cover photo, a title, and one photo in order to print a photo book. Deco Prints must be printed in sets of 24.
Q. What are those yellow triangular icons on my photos?
A. You may see the icons as you add photos to your photo book. As you go, Impressed will look for issues in your photo book that may lead to suboptimum prints, such as empty pages, pictures that are zoomed in too much, etc. If you tap the yellow triangles, you will see the issues and if you fix them, they will disappear. Note that Impressed will not stop you from printing photo books with issues, so be sure you are happy with the preview and heed the warnings.

Q. Where can I ship my Impressed purchase?
A. You can ship Impressed products between the following countries: USA, Canada, Austria, Australia, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom. Q. How much does shipping cost?
A. For Canada and the USA, photo books cost $9.99 for the first copy of a photo book, then $4.99 for each additional book. Deco Prints cost $4.99 for the first of a set, and $4.99 for each additional of the same set.
Should you use express shipping, the cost will be $19.99 for the first book to Canada plus the approrpriate tax or $25 to the USA, and for each additional photo book the cost is $3.99. Express shipping of Deco Prints costs $19.99, with an additional $3.99 for each additional set in both Canada and the US.
Shipping to Australia, Europe, and Middle east, photo books cost $19.99 for the first copy of a photo book, then $9.99 for each additional book. Deco Prints cost $11.99 for the first of a set, and $5.99 for each additional set.
Please note that you are responsible for any duties that may be levied once your order shipped as that is out of our control.
Q. How long does it take for my photo book to print and ship?
A. Once your payment clears, it typically takes 7 - 9 business days to print and ship your book. Depending on your location and the shipping method you choose, this time can vary. Once you reach the order summary screen within Impressed, you will see an estimate for your particular situation.

Q. How do I track my shipment?
A. Once your order is shipped, if you ordered photo books, Impressed will send you a tracking number so you can track your shipment(s). At this time we do not offer tracking on Deco Prints orders (unless they accompany photo books). We also do not track international shipments.
Q. My shipment was returned to sender. What do I do?
A. Very likely we will contact you first, but just email us at [email protected]. Note that we are not responsible for errors in address entry, so you will have to pay for the re-shipment if the address was entered incorrectly.
Sharing
Q. Can I share Deco Prints?
A. You can share Deco Prints physically - there is no digital copy associated with each set.
Q. How do I share a photo book?
A. Find the photo book that you want to share on the Projects screen, swipe it from right to left and tap the Share action. Note: when sharing a digital photo book, the book is locked and can no longer be modified. If you want to modify the photo book, you can use the “Create a Copy” feature (see the Book Edit section).
Q. Do recipients need the app to view the digital photo book?
A. Of course it will look its best in the Impressed app! However, recipients can choose to view the digital photo book in most web browsers on most modern PCs, Macs, and smartphones.
Q. Someone has shared a photo book with me. How do I print or share it?
A. If you receive a digital copy of a photo book via an email, open the email you received on your iPhone or iPad and tap "View it now". This will open the book in Safari. If you have Impressed installed, you will be offered the opportunity to view the book in the app. If you do not have Impressed installed, you will have the opportunity to download the app first.
Referral
Q. How does the referral mechanism work?
A. Every time you refer someone to Impressed and they buy a book, they will get a referral credit and you will get a referral credit. You can, however, only be referred once to Impressed per person per household.
Q. I have not received my referral credits yet. Is something wrong?
A. Whether someone is referring you to Impressed or you are referring someone, you must actually buy a photo book to receive referral credits. If you think you still have credits owing, please email us at [email protected]
